The journey began when I Evans Mensah. At age 17 completed J.H.S. in the year 2016. I couldn’t go to Senior High School despite my knowledge, due to financial problems. Some of my class mates whom even I committed myself to were looking down upon me. Because they were going to Secondary School whilst I remained a store keeper for my head master Mr. Malio Abnorey, who gave me his room due to the distance between my village and the school. Because I use to teach my colleges in everything during classes.
God answered my prayer one day in that same year. My social studies teacher, Mr. Francis Koku kpedzroku found me a Satellite and digital TV installation program course and sponsored me. It was one month program held by overmas multi- satellite and the National Vocational Training Institute NVTI at Kumasi Kyiriapatre off lake Bosmtwe road.
In the year 2017, l started a small business enterprise by name Emens Satellites where I sold and installed satellite dish TV’s after the program and three months attachment at Overmas.
I returned back to JHS to take the B.E.C.E. again in order to get a chance into free education. I later stopped the school because, an order came from the education office that any B.E.C.E. graduate would be allowed to rewrite it again. That was in the year 2018.
I got another opportunity to learn about security system installation at Day 7 Technology Company (DSTC) in that same year July 2018.
At first I felt very sad when the CEO of the company told me that, he can not admit me due to my qualifications. But my God spoke to him through the Head of the technical department that they should put me on trial. The program was for one year but I was well equipped after three months. So they moved me from the learning face to join the technical team of the company. That encouraged me to put my very best into the education to the final.
I also took three months entrepreneurial program at Kumasi Polytechnic held by the eQwiP HUBS while working for DSTC .I decided to restart my collapsed business after the program.
In the year 2019 August, l was appointed as the Head of Technical Department by God’s grace due to my hard work, commitment and the massive experience I had in both practical and the theoretical aspect of the work. So I used the opportunity at that period as an attachment to the entrepreneurial course till the end of the year. Some of the places secured by DSTC under my care include; The District Chief Executive apartment at Manso Nktwanta, Basement at Kumasi city mall Asokwa ,GT bank branch new office inside KNUST Mall Kumasi, Lizpo hotel at Dikyemso, Iam Royal hotel Takoradi, Front Line Inn hostel KNUST campus -Ayeduase and many more.
